I am Azizeh Chalak, associate professor at English Department, Islamic Azad University, Isfahan Branch, Isfahan, Iran, where I teach English to graduate and undergraduate students for 20 years. I got my Ph.D. in TEFL from University of Isfahan (UI), Iran, and was a visiting research student at the English Department at University of Albert Ludwigs, Freiburg, Germany. My research interests include Discourse Analysis, Sociolinguistics, Intercultural/Cross-cultural Communication, E-mail Communications, Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC), and Ethnography of Communication.

My main hobby is practicing marquetry (Moshabak, and Moaaragh) and I have been working as a professional marqueter for 18 years. I have attended many domestic and International exhibitions. My last national exhibition was in Isfahan, Iran in 2018 and the last international one was in Freiburg, Germany in 2015. My other hobbies are drawing and painting, visiting art galleries and exhibitions, sports (squash, shooting, aerobics, and swimming), knowing and learning different languages (Persian, English, Azeri, German, Turkish, and Arabic), reading novels, traveling around the world, and surfing the Internet.
